Franklin Mint Ship Set

This is another one of the shop's rarest items - A full, 6-piece Franklin Mint The Golden Age of American Sail set, showcasing "the greatest ships of the most glorious era in American sailing history" in 24K gold plated sterling silver. The Golden Age of American Sail set was offered in a single, limited edition in April of 1981 and was available to buyers by invitation only. Additionally, only one collection per person was allowed, making the release of this set extraordinarily exclusive. Buyers had to personally respond to the invitations by mail, to indicate their intent to purchase, and as promised, the collection has never been made available to the public again. 

Each piece in this set is in perfect condition, though the back of The Constitution did need to be re-glued. The frames can sit upright on a desk, as shown, or can be hung individually on a wall. The back of each frame displays the name of the ship, and contains a small historical pamphlet in a plastic sleeve, detailing the origin story of each boat. Please know, one ship is missing both the title sticker and historical pamphlet. The certificate of authenticity for the entire collection is behind the historical pamphlet on the back of The Great Republic.
