Louis Morin (1855–1938) was a French artist renowned for his illustrations and caricatures, particularly those capturing the vibrancy of Parisian life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His works frequently graced the pages of notable publications like "Le Rire" and "La Vie Parisienne." This framed reproduction of one of his works, was too darling to pass up. It depicts a social gathering of finely-dressed individuals walking along a village path, each character entwined in their own story - Massive Bridgerton vibes. I could look at it for hours, appreciating the details and concocting narratives for each. My favorite character is the man in the lower left corner - I wonder what brought him to the party. Also, can we talk about the beautiful green banding on that wooden frame?

Measures 13.375in. in length and 10.375in. in width.

Back of frame is wired for easy hanging.

Sourced in Austin, TX.
