One of my favorite flowers, the Leontopodium Nivale (commonly called Edelweiss), is carved into each side of this beautiful shallow, wooden bowl. Edelweiss flowers are primarily found in remote mountainous areas of Europe and have historically been used as a symbol for alpinism, rugged beauty, and purity. According to folk tradition, giving this flower to a loved one is a promise of dedication!
This bowl would make an excellent decorative piece for a table setting or shelf. I do not recommend it be utilized in the kitchen or washed, as it is considered one-of-a-kind and antique. It measures 11.5in. X 7.25in.
